Stanley says he will not disappoint while in the pursuit of his dreams. Stanley is 5’11” in height and walks around at about 208lbs.

The fight scene in St. Kitts is still at its fledgling stage. That is why he is looking for fight contacts, sponsors, promoters, and people who can help him get his career in fighting to the next level. With more experience in the cage, he is hoping to start a top-level fight gym for fighters in St. Kitts. He also says that The Caribbean has a whirlpool of good talent and the world just needs a chance to see it.

They do bare knuckles, stick fighting, and then have fun with toys like a dustbuster battle, chairs, and computer keyboards.

Hmm, I wonder if they have any room down there? I am a PHP coder, I wonder if I could get down there and kick some dev butt. In tech, I have noticed that people’s lifestyles gravitate to one of two poles: they are either  vegan bike riders, or they are Jabba the Hut. Good to see these people considering the choices to make in their lives, and contemplating the meaning of the fight.

We rolled hard through the K-guard drills for 4 hours and got some new techniques on how to both defend from the ground and attack from this versatile position.

The Vancouver Gracie Barra school is planning two excursions to Brazil for BJJ students. The first excursion includes entry into a Southern Brazil Championship tournament, and both packages include travel and amenities to Brazil, a two day seminar with Rickson Gracie, visits to several BJJ schools. This package was put together by Rodrigo Carvalho, 2001 Black Belt world champion who is now an instructor at Gracie Barra Vancouver. Professor Rodrigo likes to say to his students, “You go to USA to learn the real basket ball, you go to Canada to learn the real hockey, and you go to Brazil to learn the real BJJ”. The whole excursion cost would probably beat what you do on your own. Gosh I would love to do a trip like this. The package is open to students at any level of experience with Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.

The tournament will feature a wide array of styles for local competitors, and will be holding the Carlson Gracie Cup for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. As well there will be Wushu, Sanshou, and Tae Kwon Do teams from China, expanded Hapkido divisions, Pankration, and Modified Muay Thai.
